Teaching

I offer classes at several adult community centres. Courses include one day introductory sessions, evenings and weekends. At Oxford Summer school I run a six day course where students have time to develop quite ambitious projects. All my classes are suitable for complete beginners and I teach traditional skills. Through group demonstrations and individual guidance, students learn how to prepare a cutline, cut glass, prepare a glazing board, work with lead and use a soldering iron. Everyone works at their own pace on their own project.

The [Oxford] Summer School is remarkable. The organisation and atmosphere is great. Nicola's stained glass is always brilliant. She is an excellent tutor. She always inspires people giving lots of help and support but letting people go in the direction they like to. A brilliant week - Thank You! - Mary Schofield

Many of my past students have made windows which they have installed in their own homes. Some have also learned traditional glass painting and enjoy experimenting with painting on glass. The images on this page are of students work in progress.

Own Studio courses

For a more individual experience, why not come to a course at my own studio?

Course numbers are limited to two or three people. Ths allows time for one to one guidance, helping you achieve your goals. Beginners are most welcome.

A one day class costs £150.00 per person.

A two day class costs £300.00 per person.

The costs include all materials and the use of tools and studio equipment to make a panel.

To book a course please email me your details and course date preference. I will then contact you with payment details. A 10% deposit is payable to reserve your place and the balance is payable during the course.

As we will be working with lead, courses are not suitable for pregnant women or nursing mothers.
