Banbury Town Hall, Banbury, Oxfordshire

In 2014 the council of Banbury commissioned stained glass for the two rose windows in the town hall.

The brief required the design of the first rose window to look back and commemorate WW1. The design depicts poppies of remembrance set within a landscape. The centre panel features a simple cross.

The second rose window was designed to look forward and celebrate the birth of Prince George. The oak leaf forms part of the Middleton family crest and symbolises growth and strength.

The windows were dedicated on the 4th August, 2014; the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1 by The Rt. Rev. Colin Fletcher Bishop of Dorchester.

Window diameter: 170cm
